Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have a newscaster-void of accent voice naturally. I can do New York accent, Tennessee Southern accent, Valley Girl accent, and Mexican accent really well and a bit of English, Irish and Indian accents. I have studied voice accents and have been able to mimic them when needed.
My Voice Experience
I have been doing a variety of voice work since I was very young. I started singing at age 2 and my first professional off stage narrative voice was when I was 6 for the play Annie. I have been in the Entertainment industry as an Actress, Model and Voice Over Talent for over 30 years. I have my own studio where I train and teach talent on many levels in the industry. It is fully equipped for vocal recording, motion filming and still photography. I have a four port board, a variety of software and I am sponsored by MXL microphones and Partnered with Vocals Magazine. My studio can be a location in the San Antonio/Austin area where other talent can be recorded for jobs as well.
I was the voice in the Tokyo Airport for a long time that help passengers commute easier. I have done recorded book readings. I was Princess Emi in an English teaching video in Japan where we recorded a lot of voice over lines to be used throughout the video. I was a cartoon character voice on a Japanese video game that they used my likeness on. I have done many commercials and I am the founder of the HSiRadio Show that airs on Friday nights, based in Houston and broadcasting on the internet. I really could keep on going... I'm extremely versatile.
My Training
I took classes in voice most of my years in school. I sing, give presentations regularly, and own a radio show. I have been in theater for many years studying under many different teachers from various local areas. (I have been to 16 different countries and over 350 different cities.) I took training under Film Director Jeshua DeHorta out of Salt Lake City for narrative. I have had commercial training with Ron Allen out of Columbus OH. I use to sing back up at the Belmont Church in Nashville, TN with Amy Grant. I learned from Alan Miller and Erin Davidson in Florence, CO. Alan with acting and Erin with Journalism. Again, I could keep going... I'm extremely versatile.
My Studio Equipment
I own an Alesis 4-port board with mixer. I have access to whatever MXL microphone I need. Currently I have in the studio a condenser mic in their Live Series. Software - Wavepad Sound Editor, Winamp, Roxio Sound Editor, and CuBase LE 4. I'm fluent on all of them and have a library with about 500 background music clips and almost 200 sound effects. I can get more too. I acquire them as I need them to fit behind the work that I do. I do all my own editing (cost effective...) and hire all my own talent; Vocalists, bands, solo artists, musicians, if I need something more specific. (I have a casting company and play lesser known artist on my radio show that do all their own lyrics, writing, instrumentals and singing.)
Additional Skills
I have also written commercials. I have good comedic timing. (I think I said this earlier) I train other vocal talent. I train other singers. I have been doing this around the world. I have spoken in languages that I didn't know for commercials; Japanese and Hebrew. (I have since had Hebrew training but lost most of it.) There was a time when I knew a lot of Japanese too but I think most of that is gone. I could probably still fake it though if I was given the words to phonetically pronounce. I digress... and if you have any other inquisitions please do not hesitate to ask
