Voice Description

My voice talent is do to timbre as well as great vocal fluctuation. Studying music has helped my clear diction, but my vocal tonality. My words are clear and concise, yet filled with excitement and draws listeners in. My voice naturally sounds soothing, or sexual, but is also very clear and melodic. Furthermore, when it comes to accents and dialects, music has trained me to have a quick ear, and I can pull off several accents with minimal preparation. My Voice Experience

I stopped by a booth with WOI radio in Des Moines to inquire about broadcasting. They handed me a script and had me sight read it while being recorded. They thought I was incredible and told me I should come to the station. However, I wasn't interested in moving to Iowa.
Furthermore, in high school, I was chosen to be the announcer over SEVERAL Basses and no other female made the first cut. At a previous job in Kansas City as a customer service rep, the owner asked me if I would be interested in being recorded. I have a great voice, excellent diction, and speed does not effect my vocal quality. In college, I have had public speaking experience, (I love an audience!) and have been complimented on my vocal talents from several store owners when doing voice overs for them (local Wal-Mart received many comments)

My Training

I studied music, and so I have clear diction, and voice fluctuation, not to mention a quick ear able mimic foreign accents. A radio owner of three stations in Kansas, told me I had the right personality for broadcasting, (exciting radio voice) and I have also had a voice over audition with WOI radio in Des Moines which was equally impressed. In college, I have had public speaking experience in front of groups of 300 students. I took advanced communication classes at KU where I received a minor in English while attaining my B.A for music and Art.

Additional Skills

My voice has made me a great net worker. When I talk, people seem to hang on every word. I guess it's my enthusiasm; it emanates from my voice easily. I also can have a VERY sexual voice - I have been asked SEVERALtimes to consider "intimate chat" PHONE work. I know that the radio stations I have met breifly with are all eager to have demos and meet with me. However, the pay is not that great - not enough to warrant the STRESS of being a radio voice.
