Voice Description
I have naturally perfect RP coupled with a clear, relaxed voice, making it ideal for the business market. I am also adept at the sexy upper-class soft-sell. A client once described me as "a cheaper Joanna Lumley". I'd like to address that "cheaper" bit.
An excellent audio actress, I have played a range of psychopaths, villainesses and bitches as well as a manic Scottish TV presenters, a dour futuristic policewoman, and a naive northern journalist.
Quirky talents include being a marvellous screamer (I used to be paid to do blood-curdling death screams at the Royal Opera House) as well as convincing miaowing, barking, mooing and bleating. And whining. But that comes with being an actor.
I am an excellent singer (soprano range) with sight-reading skills.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Accents includes natural, perfect RP, East London (Cockney) and Essex (my Dad) and Yorkshire (my mum). I can also do a convincing Devon, Liverpool (well, Wirral coz I'm posh), and Standard East/West Coast US (yes, I know the difference). I have an excellent ear. Put me in a room with an accent for an hour, and I'll come out doing it perfectly. Except Geordie.
My Voice Experience
I've recently completed a series of on-hold digital messages for Lloyds TSB.
Narrations include corporate films for Deutsche Bank, McDonnell Douglas, IBM, Toshiba, Confederation Life, HMSO and the RAC.
Radio commercials clients include Abbey National and Halifax, Capital One.
An excellent audio actress, I originally found my niche playing a range of psychopaths, villainesses and bitches for Big Finish Audio. These include Doctor Who: Her Final Flight (with Colin Baker); : Gallifrey Spirit; and The Tomorrow People: Trigonometry (with the original TV cast).
I will also be playing a variety of roles (aged from 19-60) in Radio 4's new adaptation of Dance to the Music of Time which will be broadcast in April 2008.
My Training
I trained as an actor for three years at Rose Bruford College and was chosen for the team entered into the Carelton Hobbs Award competition. I then trained in various voiceover workshops through The Actors Centre (London), before finding my first voice agent.
My early experience included playing Ria in a series of unofficial Doctor Who audio plays in the early 1980s, which apparently now has a cult following in the US. We don't get any money for it though. Sigh.
I am a trained soprano (light lyrical voice) and worked with acapella singing group The Frigidaires for two years, during which time we made regular appearances on national TV and radio as well as doing backing vocals on a single produced by Martin Rushent. Rock on!
I recently composed and sang original folk music for independent feature Return to Ravenswood.
I am now embarking into the shadowy world of freelance journalism.
My Studio Equipment
To follow. Oh yes I can record (Rode NT2000 mic plus Mbox Pro Tools) but I don't yet have the software to turn those wonderful recordings into MP3s. Bear with me. It's on its way and I will be up and running by end April 2008.
Additional Skills
Like many professional actors, money-making in between jobs becomes an art form. I have worked extensively within Investment Banking in the City, as well as within other sectors including property development, architecture, medicine and local government. Through these jobs, I have gained a very useful range of vocabulary for corporate voice work, as well as an accurate radar for bad management practices.
I live in Inner London, with quick and easy access to all the central recording studios.
