Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Range of characterizaions: Julie Andrews-type british (both spoken and especially sung), Disney-sweet youthful heroine, opera singing, 'girl next door', wholesome college student, childlike higher pitched voice. Able to speak and sing extremely quickly.
My Voice Experience
I have spent the past years doing a wide variety of projects: Giggling as an elf on a christmas album for a singing santa claus (boston based "santa JG"), gossiping as a teenage girl on a song for a boston based rock band, spoke up as an enthusiastic child on an educational hip-hop album for middle school students (for Rhythm, Rhyme, Results series www.educationalrap.com), played 4 female characters (songs and dialogue) for new musical demo recording (NYC). roles ranged from naive school girl, to disillusioned beat-nick, to attention grabbing diva. Co-hosted 2 podcast episodes promoting Boston band Hurra Kam Rada (played sweet female opposite stronger louder male character). Currently interested in wholesome, 'disney-esque' character work, commercial work, and opportunities to sing.
My Training
Majored in music, concentration in voice (B.A. Colby College, '04). Worked as a voice coach/musical director for children's theater camp in boston area and children's theater camp in NH. (Summers 1999-2005) Currently studio vocalist for SoPo productions (NYC www.sopoproductions.com). Lead and background vocals. Lots of experience recording (since childhood! over 20 years!).
My Studio Equipment
I currently have a good microphone and I use garageband to edit my work on a mac. I can easily export tracks and email them as mp3 or aif files. I work closely with SoPo productions and their state of the art studio in NYC, which uses logic to edit more extensively.
Additional Skills
I studied theater from childhood through college, and have a passion for singing. I have a fantastic working relationship with SoPo productions' music producer and composer Matthew O'Malley, and in this way can easily provide fully scored musical content.
