Voice Description

First of all, I am in a financial crunch right now and can't afford the $200 for this site to allow me to answer ads, if you want me to send you samples, you must choose to contact me directly. I am getting started in this and willing to be extremely competitive in my pricing...help me get started...My voice is EXTREMELY versatile, I have years of experience in actually practicing different dialects. I have a female voice that can be modified for ANY types of narrations or presentations. I have professional experience in Phone/Voice Systems due to my 8+ years as a call center sales representative. My voice naturally modifies as I carry on a conversation with someone whose origin is different than mine. I am a young female with a broad range of vocal pitch. I can do sexy, I can do warm and appealing to all audiences, I can be extremely professional for work requested by businesses, such as phone/voice systems and hold messages. I am a licensed insurance agent in over 30 states and my vocabulary, pronunciation of words that can be difficult for others-especially legal terminology because of my work in Insurance.
As far as languages and dialects, my primary language is English(North American). I grew up in the Midwest so when I am visiting my hometown, my dialect reverts back to Midwestern and I can accentuate it even more to reflect an accent found more commonly in Midwest states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois(especially Chicago), Iowa, The Dakotas, etc...I live in Florida where there really is no single dialect. But I can do Southern by state also, Florida has it's own mild version of a Southern Accent, but I have found through my travels that Florida really is not a Southern State and as you make your way through Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Southern Indiana until you reach Indianapolis, the Southern accent is much heavier and I am very good at differentiating between all of those states and regions. Another accent skill I am extremely proud of is my New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Boston. During my experience as an insurance agent, a large amount of my clients were in these areas. I can sound like I am originally from any of these areas. Back to Florida, there are so many languages and different dialects of those languages, many of which are determined by the location. Because of my formal education in the Spanish language, I have been told by primary Spanish speaking residents that my pronunciation and accent is very convincing. The great thing about living in Florida is you get to learn the different dialects from Puerto Rican, Colombian, my favorite...New Yorican :), Ecuadorian, and Mexican. I also can read Spanish from Spain because of my formal education. I am not fluent in Spanish, I can understand a lot and I can easily speak most. What makes me valuable when it comes to Spanish is my ability to read and pronounce properly. I also have formal education in French and German. I am not fluent in these languages but I can pronounce and read scripts properly and with the proper accent for each language. I can also speak with a British or European accent along with my Spanish, French and German accents, specifically. I am also probably one of the few American Girls who can actually do Middle Eastern accents after a 3 year marriage to an Israeli who speaks Arabic and Hebrew. And most of my friends are from countries such as Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India, Israel and other countries in the Middle East and Asia. I can do these voices as male or female and I can do them in humor and serious. I can do character voices such as cartoon or child-friendly voices, I can even do a pretty good "Cartman" or "Kenny" from South Park and "Boomhauer" from King of the Hill. I can do animal sounds including dogs, cats, birds of several species(mostly domesticated) and ducks, geese and some other wild species. I am able to speak with an African American dialect either proper or urban as well as American Urban dialect. I have formal education in theatre including acting so I am able to do acting as well as voice over. Besides being versatile and diverse with my voice, I have a great sense of humor and can REALLY be funny when required and for no reason at all, I can be serious when required, I can be sexy when required and for no reason at all.

My Voice Experience

As I mentioned in my Expanded Voice Description, my experience as an Insuance Agent in a call center for over 8 years has helped develop my talent in modifying my voice in so many ways. I can honestly say that I can do almost ANY accent already and if there is one that I want to learn, or need to do, I am very fast at learning it. My experience with so many different people in my life has given me the opportunity to study different languages and accents. My ex-husband of 3 years is of Israeli descent and speaks Arabic and Hebrew and has a very heavy accent. From him I have learned how to speak with a middle eastern accent. I can also speak with an Indian accent and some Asian accents.

I am also a model with over 10 years of experience in modeling ranging from runway, bridal runway and print. I am also a freestyle dancer with a limited amount of formal training in ballet, jazz, tap and modern and my strength is in hip-hop which I practice and perform in on a regular basis.

My Training

I mentioned a lot of this in the EVD section too. I will just run down a list of all of my training in languages and all other performing arts:
I learned to be a voice over by being discovered purely by a blessing (I don't beleive in luck) when I was singing under my voice on the phone with a friend and when he heard my range, he asked me to do some test recordings for him because he just happened to be looking for someone to do voiceover. A few samples later, he hired me. After researching the profession, and seeing how many opportunities there are and how many of those opportunities I am confident I can perform well and get hired so I am going to spend as much time as I need to, auditioning or sending demos for jobs and get as much experience as I can and get my voice out there until it becomes a recognizable voice at which point I may pursue some actual acting and join SAG. I am a dancer, singer, actor, voiceover artist. My ultimate passion is in all performing arts and because I have been entertaining friends and strangers with my voices, I think voice over is a great place for me to start really getting experience in performing and work my way up from there. I got over my stage fright years ago, but have not really had the time or opportunities to perform, with the exception of my dancing. I recently suffered injuries in an auto accident and voice over is something I can do that I enjoy and can do without aggrivating my injuries.
