Voice Description

My voice can range from soft and sincere "girl next door" to saultry and sexy. I am able to depict a range of ages with my voice as well. From young girl to middle age female. I also have a very proffessional tone that would be appropriate for narration and presentation. My voice is also very soothing and calming. Great for relaxation exercises.

My Voice Experience

While working in communications for a major department store I was dubbed "the voice" for that store. I made all of the in-store announcements and promotions as well as emergancy announcements and customer and employees pages. My fun and imaginative trunk show announcement were requested by staff and visiting designers on a regular basis. I was also asked to make dj style announcements with music to staff before and after the store closing to "pump up" the employees and keep the environment fun and fresh. I have certainly never been accused of being shy on the mic :)
I have also conducted numerous educational seminars in person and via phone for a national non-profit organization. Public speaking was a major component of my position. I was interviewed on-air by several different radio stations during my 3 years witht he non-profit.
I'm relatively new to the world of voice-overs and voice acting but I do have some formal training from the Broadcast Institute of Maryland.

My Training

I graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland with a BA in Mass Communications in 2005. As part of that degree I worked with radio, television and computer programming.
I attended the Broadcast Institute of Maryland in 1997. At the institute I worked as an on-air talent on their radio channel. I was also trained as an on-camera journalist delivering newscasts.

I've worked in communcations for years and can handle many various multi-lined switchboards and phone systems.
I've trained on and off camera for television and I have trained as a dj for radio.
I have been in commercials and interviewed on the radio as part of my position with a national non-profit organization. Also as part of my position with that non-profit, I conducted numerous seminars and did public speaking engagements on a weekly basis. I have also hosted "phone based" seminars for those unable to attend local seminars.
