Voice Description

I have a very flexible voice and a great ear for tone, placement, and accents. I am great for making baby noises, doing childrens voices including speech impediments and lisps. I can do both little boys and little girls. I also do very sophisticated and/or sexy promo voices. I love doing character voices such as very old ladies, witches and other evil villans, and goofy animal characters. Some, but not all of the accents and dialects I am proficiant in are British RP, Cockney, Irish, Scottish, French, German, Spanish, Australian, New York, Texan, Southern drawl, Appalacian, American Mid-West and North, California Valley Girl or Surfer Dude. I can do speech impairments like those of deaf people, sibbilant "s" sounds, lisps, slurs and stutters.

My Voice Experience

If you ever watch television or listen to the radio, you've heard my voice. From HGTV to NBC and back up the dial, I've announced what you are watching, what will be on next, and what new shows will be airing next week. Think they got that baby to cry on cue? Think again. It was probably me you heard wailing away. You may also have sat on hold while listening to me talk about mortgage rates and had me direct you to press # at anytime.

My Training

I am a classically trained actor with a degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Wanting to have a baby and have the freedom to get fat for 9 months lead me to pursue more voice and "off camera" work. I loved it so much and more than anything, loved not having to be away from home for months on end, that it became the focus of my career. I've also been highly involved in children's theatre and musical theatre where you are permitted to "play" and make up over the top and wacky characters.

You will find me to be a very talented voice over artist, and my demos will stand as proof of that. What you won't find on paper is my work ethic. I am dedicated, hard working, and have a great attitude. I show up on time and/or submit work on time without fail. My easy going nature makes me easy to work with and the type of person people call in again and again. Also, I will always come in prepared so that I don't need to do a job over and over again to get it. Usually, one or two takes is enough and you'll have what you need.
