Voice Description

Animation work of all kinds is my specialty.

English is native, but I have an excellent ear for languages and can do voice over dialects and accents well and accurately in the following second languages: French, Italian, German, Hebrew, (sub-continent) Indian, Irish and Yiddish. I also read almost all these languages and can do voice overs from text. Further, I can do many different adult and children's characters (e.g., a pirate captain, a villain, a calming parent, a teddy bear or a cat and dog ).

My voice, of high-baritone timbre, is operatically trained and projects well without the need for microphones. I can make it smooth, reassuring and professional sounding, as well as informative and instructional. It can also become playful and lighthearted for commercials.

My Voice Experience

My experience consists of being a trained singer, and performer, and of being a professional fund raiser for many years--which always involves verbal communication to individuals, small groups and large gatherings.

I love the art and experience of performing, of persuading, and of making people laugh, and of becoming different characters and personae and bringing them to life.

My Training

I have been a professional fund raiser for many years.

I took speech and acting courses in college where it was suggested that I pursue an acting career. I studied music and singing as my major and for several years thereafter. I studied voice over and coach with Peter Rofe, PDR, in New York City

My Studio Equipment

I have access to a soundproof recording studio--don't know the equipment but it's used for voice overs on documentary films, etc.)

Additional Skills

I am a quick study, and I take direction and instruction well, and am able to make the changes requested with relative ease. My musical training background has honed an excellent sense of rhythm and timing... and I take my work, but not myself, seriously.
