Voice Description
i was born and raised in chicago so i still maintain a northern accent. i reside in california now. people who have described my voice to me say that it is sweet and young sounding and that my voice doesn't match my age(thirty). my voice is a little nasal sounding but i have been told on more than one occasion that people like to hear me talk because it soothes them. i have a limited vocal range but can sing if required. i can imitate accents very well and was considered by my fellow nursing students "the class actor" for my impression of some of our more "colorful" teachers.

My Voice Experience
i studied drama and acting when i was very young. i did some local plays at the field house nearby me in chicago. i was part of a pageant with the marine corps that showcased the different uniforms for the era as well as the progression of females in the military. each actor had a major speaking part as well. i have no actual voice over experience. i work as a nurse now but would like to have a different job on the side. something to break the monotony and something that i know i would enjoy.
My Training
as mentioned above my experience is limited to the drama club in high school and grammar school as well as the local field house where i grew up in chicago. i also did a traveling pageant with the marine corps and my friends and family always thought that my impressions of people were right on the money.

Additional Skills
being in the marine corps, you are almost forced to public speak on many different occasions. it has built my confidence with speaking in front of large groups of people. i have also learned to use my humor to hide my nervousness at times. i am not afraid to make fun of myself. being in the nursing field you deal with people on a constant basis as well as differnt attitudes. because of this i feel that i have gained the experience to get certain things across to people that others may not be able to.
