Voice Description
My voice is friendly and quite versatile. For example, I gave an impromptu presentation in character as a 14-year-old migrant child that brought the audience to tears. I have worked as a morning announcer for a Country and Western radio station, using a slight Southern accent, as well the evening shift at an adult contemporary radio station, with a sultry sound. My years of singing, which have helped shape the versatility of my voice, included songs ranging from Handel's "Messaih" to a song about the wacky commercials played on TV.

My Voice Experience
While my voice over experience is limited, I have worked part-time at two radio stations (KPOK in Louisiana and WHMA in Alabama), the latter under the name of Phoebe John, where I was offered a full-time position over a more senior part-timer. The four years I spent in high school chorus better trained my voice in articulation and delivery. Lately, I found myself coaching another talent and wondering why I have not considered doing voice overs instead of just coaching.
My Training
While a student at the Defense Information School's leadership courses in 1996 and 1997, I received training in radio and TV copy writing, and newscast and spot production. I also took a semester each of drama, speech for the classroom teacher, and public speaking in college.
My Studio Equipment
I use Apple's Garage Band to record and edit voice over products, and iTunes for mp3 conversion when required. I also have a digital video camera to record and Apple's iMovie and iDVD editing systems for jobs requiring video. Both video systems can convert files to QuickTime for ease of distribution.
Additional Skills
I sing first tenor, alto and second soprano, so if you need singing and talking, look no further.
