Voice Description
I'm generally able to provide whatever a producer needs. One of my favorite voices is that of a young male, the very upbeat "hyper" kind of sound. However, I'm also able to do the very serious, compassionate sound that comes with age. I'm also able to handle complex technological and medical terms, so I really enjoy the more complicated technical training narration. I always enjoy being stretched to provide whatever is best for the situation.

My Voice Experience
I knew that I had a passion for this stuff in second grade, when I was the kid who always volunteered to read aloud in class! I started doing voice work in High School, believe it or not. That was about twenty-five years ago. Then, I went through a stretch of "normal" jobs after college, but voice work always called to me.
A few years ago, I stepped out and accepted a job as a morning drive announcer at a local radio station, got myself a decent voice demo and decided to actually pursue this thing.
I feel like I come alive when I'm given the chance to attack copy behind a microphone. I enjoy the challenge of giving the producer exactly what she wants and then some.
My Training
I'm a singer, so I'm comfortable in front of people. I think singing also teaches a voice talent proper breathing and vocal control.
And, one of the things I take pride in is the fact that my singing can't be "pigeon-holed." I'm just as comfortable with classical as jazz or rock. I feel the same way about voiceover work. I really like to stretch to try different voices and sounds.
My Studio Equipment
Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone
Focusrite Sapphire Firewire interface
Steinberg Wavelab Essential 6
