My Voice Experience

What I need is a chance to demonstrate I have a natural talent for this type of work. I feel completely at ease behind a microphone in a sound studio. I think for me it's a undiscovered forte.

I have never done a job using my voice. Often upon meeting someone, I am asked if I have worked in radio. In Jakarta I asked a friend of mine who owns an advertisement company, if I could come in and use his recording studio to record some pieces utilizing my voice. I suggested he could keep a copy of the files and if something came up he could call me for some work. I have sent my files to another friend in the advertising business and he likes my voice so is attempting to introduce me to companies who may like to hire me for jobs.

I've always enjoyed for fun playing with my voice and believe I have a lovely voice that could fit into many themes. I just need people who are looking to listen to my voice and find where I best fit in for where they need me.

I enjoyed my afternoon very much in the sound studio and worked wonderfully with the sound man there.

My Training

I have no degrees nor formal education in the broadcasting business.

I do have a beautiful rich low to mid range with the ability to learn scripts and turn them into my own or follow exactly what a customer is looking for.

My Studio Equipment

Currently I have no studio equipment but have access to a professional studio with tech people to assist me.

Additional Skills

I was born and raised in Canada and am a native English speaker. Since 1988 I have lived in Indonesia over 10 years. I can speak bahasa Indonesia relatively well.

I mainly would like work using English but can also do voice work in the Indonesian language. I have submitted a short file of my ability with the language.

With guidance/coaching and practice I can read anything from the language. Although my sound isn't exactly Indonesian, for a foreigner I pronounce the language very well. If Indonesians were listening to my voice for any length of time it would be clear Im not a native Indonesian speaker but they would smile to hear it. They often are encouraging about my ability.
