Voice Description

Greg has a beautiful, rich warm voice. He is a classically trained singer, a professional actor, MC, comedian, motivation speaker and has a wide range of character voices and accents. Strong mature commercial VO through to cartoon voices or anywhere in between. Work includes TV ident voicing, radio ads, documentery narration, multimedia (NZ national award winning presentation)and live performance work.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

New Zealand, Australian, British (many regional accents), Irish, both North and South, Scottish, French - both 'over the top French waiter' and accurate accent, German (conversational language skill, learnt while living in Germany), Russian, Polish. A wide range of character voices for books and cartoons. I'm also an Elton John impersonator.

My Voice Experience

My voiceover experience began in 1996 with short-film narration, before moving into radio advertising. I have also recorded and produced mock-radio commercials for corporate clients and I am the current stand-in voice for New Zealand TV3's evening drama programming.

I have also provided voicework for a number of corporate clients including Cogent, ASB Bank, Sky TV, TV3 and more.

Television work includes character monster voice for Power Rangers.

My Training

High School educated, achieving 2nd overall in form in both forms 3 and 4, received the highest English score in school for School Certificate (external exam) in 5th form (15 years old). After leaving shool, I worked in a sales cadetship for a couple of years before signing up for 4 years in the RNZ Army as a Radio & Communications Operator, twice awarded Commandants Award for highest marks in training, then singer & actor in NZ until 1992 before travelling to Britain. Returned to NZ in 1995, began acting, singing and improvisation training.
Freelance corporate presenter and MC since then, also member of NZ troupe 'The Improv Bandits', as performer and trainer.
Specialist improvised song performer and also musician and song-writer.
Greg has been a restaurant reviewer and currently writes articles for the web. About to take on a role as a book reviewer. Also working in the corporate market as a professional MC, speakers, singer, actor and enteratainer alongside his TVC appearances and voicework.

Mackie 1402VLZ desk, Shure KSM27 mic, Alesis 3630 RMS/Peak dual-channel compressor/limiter with gate, recording on Sound Forge. I have a home booth and am able to provide fast turn-around, in most formats.
