My Voice Experience

Previous work limited to in-house corporate productions for a major defense contractor. Most of the work I have done is classified and therefor not available for personal promotion. I still hold a very high Department of Defense clearance so if you need voiceover work on DoD related projects I can perform that for you.

Over the past 30 years I have constantly received the same comments that I "have a remarkable voice" and am I "on the radio?". My first voiceover was done to narrate a proof-of-concept video done by our in-house art staff to show management that we now had the ability to produce complete promotional videos onsite and distribute them to the customer agencies via CD-i. My original role in the project was as the computer technician helping to bring the various artists and technologies together for this project (approximately 1995, long before it was common practice to attempt a complete narrated video in-house) but none of the other participants wanted to do the voiceover so I did it just to finish the project. It was well received and I became the default choice for all voice work including our telephone voicemail system.

I am looking to expand my range somewhat and perform on commercial jobs now.

My Training

California State University, San Bernardino: Coursework in audio recording using state-of-the-art multi-track recording and electronic generating and modifying equipment.

Corporate experience running large "show" productions to the customer. These shows ranged from simple overhead slide shows with simple audio systems to intricate and complicated setups with three simultaneous projection screens being fed by fifteen audio and video sources all switched live while being video-taped live to be turned over to the customer at the conclusion of the day.

My Studio Equipment

An assortment of high-end Windows (XP and Vista) and Macintosh systems and servers. I have a preference for Shure and Mackie sound equipment for captures but perform all my processing in the computer environment.

I can do a simple voice over or I can take all your base elements and generate a finished slide show, podcast, movie, etc. deliverable in any number of accepted formats on any number of media targeted to whatever audience you prefer (electronic, download, web, DVD, etc.).

Additional Skills

Nearly 30 years experience with computers and communications systems and services. Over 10 years overlapping experience with security systems ranging from locksmithing to intrusion detection, surveillance, and access control systems. As a licensed contractor and locksmith in the State of California I have run my own business for the past several years catering as a jack-of-all-trades to exclusive clients. I find a way to satisfy all the client's needs regardless of how far out of my field it seems and although not exactly publishable work, I also handle all their voiceover work for their phone systems, home automation systems, etc.
