My Voice Experience
Having been told I have a voice for radio since I somehow survived puberty, I found my way to Chicago Recording Company in the fall of 2010 to record a demo. Since then, I've taken classes with some of Chicago's best professionals, including two classes at Acting Studio Chicago and plenty of one-on-one coaching sessions.
My Training
I have my master's in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University, which makes me an official literary smarty-pants. For voice work, I've been taking classes at Acting Studio Chicago alongside working with a coach one-on-one and practicing with my mic at home.
My Studio Equipment
I have a condensor mic and GarageBand at home so I can audition easily via email.
Additional Skills
I have a ridiculous amount of fun in the studio--having worked my way through my undergrad and graduate schools by working a handful of grunt jobs (which currently includes a bank), being in a studio feels like a vacation. My studies in English and creative writing have helped me interpret scripts quickly. Besides voice overs for commericals and various other media, I'd love to read for book narrations.
