Voice Description

My voice has been described by others as being an "FM voice","mid-western with no accent", "soothing","personable","articulate","animated".
Earlier this year my business office upgraded its telephone system and I was asked by management to be the recorded voice for the automated menu, in lieu of the "canned" voice that came with the system. I agreed and have received many compliments (and some ribbing) about me being the "voice" of the office.
I was flattered since I work for the government and my office has about 150 employees.

I do not have any prior professional voice over experience. In addition to what I described above regarding my voice being used for the office telephone system, I have appeared as a historian on "The History Channel". It was a non-paid appearance, no union involvement.

I do not have any prior experience in this field, I have been encouraged by others to pursue this.
