I didn't seek out voice-work... it came to me. As a teacher, writer, and speaker by education, I was approached as a Voice Talent as I was teaching English to businesspeople in Central Europe.
While working at Radio Cas, my students elected to begin a radio segment with me reading weekend weather reports in Czech for broadcast. I also participated as an announcer for an act at their seasonal winter concert on stage in front of an arena full of fans.
Currently, I am studying Public Relations in my second university degree and have done a series of voiceovers for my studies including PSAs, video, and radio ads. This has included copywriting, speaking and choosing music/background.
BA Honors in English Language/Literature from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada which included a full-year exchange to Stockholms Universitet in Stockholm, Sweden.
Currently studying Public Relations at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
I am an infantry officer in the Nova Scotia Highlanders, Canadian Army Reserves, and am receiving the training that entails.
In addition to my university courses on speaking, I have worked as an English teacher for many years in Europe speaking in front of groups as large as 40-50 on a regular basis.
I have lived in 5 countries and speak German, Swedish and Czech in addition to English and some French.
Language arts, clear communication and an expansive vocabulary combine with my leadership-forged confidence to grant me a powerful and expressive voice.
