Voice Description
English is my mother tongue. I grew up south of Birmingham, so I've got a neutral but clipped English accent. I can do various dialects from England, including Liverpool (scouse), Newcastle (geordie), London (general or cockney), West Country brogue, Welsh, Scottish.
I can also put an Australian, New Zealand or South African slant on English, and depending on where in the country, somewhat of an American accent (some are more 'natural' than others). To me, an American accent is partly what someone sounds like, but a significant amount is the words that they use in a sentence or the supposed familiarity that a visitor should already have with their grammar.
I can also speak and read French and German. I am not fluent but I studied both in University and have lived in Switzerland during 1990. I am able to converse in French. I could certainly do comedic accents in both.
I believe my own voice to be a bit nasal, but also to be fairly deep. I have been told that my sensuous voice, which I can easily create, works wonders for her...

My Voice Experience
I have been told my numerous English and American friends that I should do voiceovers because of the number of voices that I can create, and also because I am English and have that neutrally English accent, that I might add a touch of authenticity to the normally overdone English commercial or voiceover (the traditional portrayal of all things English sounding like a butler from the Victorian age). As Europe and particularly England are buzzing at present and a hotbed for new ideas, next-generation technology and an active attempt to move into the future while still embracing a hugely important and rich past, American people in general could continue to learn a lot from the European approach and fresh input from overseas, just as everywhere in the world has learned something from the American approach to life.
My Training
I have no formal training with my voice but I have a good flexibility with it. I do of course agree that it would benefit from practice and training, but natural ability can shine through. I am very musical and have an ear for pitch and tone. I also think (not tested) that I would have a good singing voice, were I to attempt standard singing or operatic singing.

Additional Skills
I work in the IT implementation industry and as such have done many presentations to prospects and existing clients. I have been told again by many members of my audience that my voice carries well, that I am clear in my delivery and again that the accent works very well (in America). I have 9 years of experience in delivering presentations and therefore believe that I have a good grasp on what it takes to hold an audience's attention with a voice and a message. On a voiceover of course the audience cannot see you use body language to further pull them along with you, but I also have experience in delivering web-based product demonstrations which again I have received many flattering responses to. I have had very few where the audience has been unable or unwilling to participate or follow along, and I have been able to learn significantly from those instances and adjust my style.
