I began my voiceover career after I was personally trained and coached by Janice Dean, of Janice Dean Communications, former Chair of Miami University's Actor Training Program. This includes completion of the Voice Over Intensive workshop and several private coaching sessions. Janice has coached and taught at several locations and prestigious schools to thousands of actors, many of whom have appeared in hit TV shows, such as Eric Lang in Lost. I spent time in several private sessions with her teaching me techniques and secrets that allow me to provide excellent voice-overs to my clients. In September of 2010, I attended "That's Voice-over!" in New York City, and received special personal advice from great Voice-over actors to include Alan Kalter, Announcer, Late Show with David Letterman; Tor Myhren, Chief Creative Officer of Grey New York (also voices the E*Trade baby); Joan Baker Author, Secrets of Voiceover Success; Rodd Houston,Voiceover Actor including NBA on ABC and ESPN; Joe Cipriano, Voiceover Actor including Grammy's and Emmy's; Cedering Fox, Voiceover Actor & Artistic Director of WordTheatre including The People’s Choice Awards; Valerie Smaldone, Voiceover Actor including Broadway on Broadway in Times Square; Bill Ratner, Voiceover Actor including narrating movie trailers for Kung Fu Panda, Blades of Glory, Madagascar 2, Talladega Nights & more.
NT1A Rode Mic, PreSonus FireStudio Mobile, PreSonus TubePre, Propellorhead Record, over 5000 sound effects.
Most of all, I enjoy voicing cartoon characters. I have spent my entire life imitating characters from movies, and have made up even more of my own. While reading stories to my children, I often create unique voices for each character individually.
