I can describe my voice as a sutle and sexy. I would be great with narrations because I prounce all my words in a professional news reporter fashion. My voice would be great for car commercials advil or tylenol commericals as well. I also believe that it would be great for announcing; like that of Rolonda Watts. I can fake a Jamaican accent, because my parents are from Jamaica. I can also attempt at a Old school Brooklyn accent.

My Voice Experience

I inquired about a News reporter position at my local church. After I saw a young lady interviewing the pastor with her mic and camera man, I knew that is what I wanted to do. I learned more about media ministries and I will start training this friday. They will train me on presentation, interviewing and voice training. I will also learn how to use the camera.

Most of my jobs have been tele-marketing jobs. I worked at a relationship arranger as a cupid customer service representative. That was interesting. Everyone said, you hae such a plesant voice. They would love to talk to me all day.

I have done my own recording in my home when I was younger living in Brooklyn. I would always tape myself and pretend that I was on the radio as a radio chick.

My Training

I have no training in voice overs. However I am extremly intrested. So if I can recieve any kind of information, it would be gladly appreciated. I like annoucing and traffic reporters. I would love to be on commercials knowing that that is my voice on the air. There happened to be a breaking into voice overs seminar at the Bergenfield Roy W. Brown school in New Jersey. They spoke about getting into voice overs and how to use your unique voice.

Additional Skills

I am able to communicate verbally with self-confidence and zeal. I love fun bubbly voices on the radio and television because who wants to sit and lesson to someone who is not exciting or intresting. The skills and that I have in voice overs are mainly speaking over the phone at my previous jobs. That may not be much, however people loved to talk to me. I think that says alot about my voice. However I know that training would serve me well. I am goal oriented and I desire a position in which I can use my own unique voice and personality to market to individuals. I believe that delivery is important in this field and that is why I want as much information as possible.
