A rather "bassy" voice, warm and deep for narrations, but also powerful enough for commercials. "Dry" for presentations and playfull enough for voice over work.
My native tongue is Dutch, although I was brought up speaking English. After living in Germany for over 18 years, my German can also be without any accent. If wanted though, I can do German with a typical Dutch accent. This doesn't go for English.
Due to my experience, I am able to do any kind of voicing. (Actor (LipSyncing), singing, voice-"distortion" for cartoons or animals.

My Voice Experience

I've been a professional speaker for more than 6 years. In these years I've done the most different kind of jobs. Commercials, documentaries, voiceovers and lipsync.
Some of the company names I've spoken for are:
Harley Davidson, Mercedes Benz, Sixt, Hewlet Packard, Shell, and so on.

My Training

In 1987 I started of as a sound-engineer in Germany. One day I recorded a Dutch speaker and his client needed a second speaker to do some voice-overs. The Dutch speaker asked me if I were prepared to do them. At first I wasn't sure, but I gave it a try.
As years followed, I learned an awful lot as a sound engineer about what I could and should expect from a professional speaker.
More and more agencies and filmmakers phoned me to ask if I could and would do their commentary, voiceovers or commercials speaking jobs. So after a while I really started getting pretty good at it. At the moment my main profession still is sound engineer, but it's getting hard to combine it with the speaking jobs I'm asked for.

As a sound engineer you often are involved in the job of a director. This knowledge can very well be used when slipping into the role of a speaker.
Being an sound engineer for almost 20 years, the experience I've gathered is essential for me as a speaker.
