My Voice Experience

I worked for the Voice of America in New York and Washington, DC for 18 years, reading news, narrating documentaries, and performing in special projects, such as reading poetry. Voicing scripts at VOA required special care, not only because of their exceptionally high standards, both also because the entire audience was overseas, and English was their second language (or third or fourth). After a few years away from the mic, I have re-entered the voice over market and have been voicing radio and TV spots for a client here in Des Moines.

My Training

After graduating with a degree in Telecommunications, I moved to Washington DC to take a job with the Voice of America as an intern. Only after eight months of voice lessons was my voice heard around the world on VOA's World Wide English Service.
