Voice Description
In narration I can have a calm, scholarly demeanor that can also slide toward a likable curmudgeon. The reading can either be "straight" or with varying levels of expression and emotion.
For audio books I tend toward children's stories that can characters with multiple voices.
Commercial presentations can bring out other instances of urbanity or borderline unbalance (think movie trailers or World Wrestling promos).
Industrial and corporate narrations are handled firmly and consistently with jargon and buzzwords being handled as part of the total picture that a client would be conveying.
My voice carries a range from upper bass through baritone, with occasional forays into alto range.

My Voice Experience
While I am new to the "voice business", I am no stranger to using my voice skills to instruct, inform and persuade.
I've done live web-video to provide support for surgical microscopy. I have over ten years experience in real time phone support in the same field helping people of varying English ability keep their equipment functional and their patients alive.
As part of the reading team at church, I am regularly called to public reading of scripture in a manner that move people to a place and time when the words were first spoken.
I can work independently or under direction to present the job in ways that the client will be pleased with.
My Training
My voice training includes a formal program taken at Creative Voice Development Group (VoiceCoaches website
). My college degree is a BA in English with a minor in Communication Arts. I am regularly in front of a microphone as a program host and producer for RandoRadio (website).
My Studio Equipment
I am currently using a Heil PR-20 microphone (heilsound website) into a Yamaha MG16/4 console. A Behringer Virtualizer Pro (model DSP-2024P) can be invoked as needed.
All recording is straight to digital into a dedicated Dell Dimension E520 with 3 gig RAM and Intel Duo-Core Processor. Sound card is M-Audio Audiophile 2496.
Depending on the requirements of the job, software used is either ProTools 7.4, Polderbits V 5.0 build 94 and Audacity V 1.2.6
