Voice Description

I do a wide range of voices and styles from a natural guy next door, upbeat, friendly, hard sell, narrative, documentary, promo for TV and Radio, and lots of character voices too. I create original characters and and do popular voices as well. I've done narration for TV, commercial work, station ID's, song parodies, dialects. Everything from a voice guy to Spongebob Squarepants.

I can do many styles, many affectations, from smooth A/C presentation and friendly to out and out dorksville and lots in between.

My Voice Experience

I have been a morning show host for 28 years and have written and voiced characters for the various shows over that time. I have done this in the form of show jingles, on the phone, in studio and in commercials. You'll hear some of those in my demos.

Some of my projects include . . . an international launch of Go-Go's toys, The Air Force National Reserve, Motorola, Wrigley's Gum Go Green Project, Wheatland Bank, The National Coast Guard, A California Casino, an Indiana Casino, a major financial product launch as the voice of the CEO, and many more. I was the voice talent of a TV station in Phoenix providing them with daily promo reads which were both regular and character voiced.

I have narrated TV specials, acted in a low budget movie (in character as a Gay Elvis) , done TV bumpers for specials, on hold voice over, and have read hundreds of commercials.

My Studio Equipment

I have a Mac based home studio with M-audio input, RCA 44C, MXL VO:A-1, MXL 909 condenser gold diaphram mic, and Symetrix mic processor. Also on board, numerous digital processors and effects units.

I record in Garageband, Soundtrack, Wire Tap Studio, Sound Studio, Wire Tap Pro and I can export in any file necessary.

Additional Skills

As a regular on the radio for 4 hours a day, I got plenty of on the job training on how to sound relevant, relatable, empathetic, humorous, over the top,hard sell, gentle, smooth, cornball and genuine. In general, I can sell it!

I also get the opportunity to speak in front of large crowds that help me to better my speaking skills and garner listeners ears
