Voice Description

Mostly radio voice over talent; my sound is a 20 something female with some variations. Smooth, professional and news worthy; fun, sexy and upbeat for commercials; warm for narrations. Have a North American dialect, but can do a southern Tennessee accent. I am a smoker which can lend to a raspy sound when called for, but really doesn't come thru unless I push the sound.

My Voice Experience

My experience is largely radio related, began my radio talent career in '99 at KUOI 89.3, the University of Idaho radio stations, since then I have moved on to commercial radio. For the past 3 years I've been the morning show co-host at KZDX-FM in Southern Idaho as well as production manager and news director at the same station (yes I am talented and cover all three jobs!). I am in essence a "jane of all trades." I love doing voice-overs that are fun and exciting, but my dream is to do some documentary narrations, since the news format is truely my background.

I can record in most any type of format, but mostly use mp3 or wav. I currently voice news casts (long and short form), a morning and mid-day show, all different types of commercials and promo's.

My Training

All of my voice training has come from my radio career and the wonderful people I've had the joy of working with.

I graduated at the University of Idaho in 2004 with a Bachelors in Mass Communication and a Minor in Creative writing. While attending the UI, I did news casts on the college station KUOI 89.3, while I also worked at the local commercial station KZFN-FM/KRPL-AM. My boss was also one of my professors, so I got away with being on college station and his station at the same time, which was great experience.

Additional Skills

As i've stated, I'm a "jane of all trades," and have done a plethora of jobs; from waitress/bartender to auto parts driver, cashier, secretary/receptionist, news writer, dancer and radio talent. I like to bring all of these skills to the table when relating to my audience. It also helps me get into a character when doing voice overs.
