My Voice Experience

Gil McArthur is a professional skeptic, taught by long experience as a business owner, C.P.A. business and financial adviser, chairman of the board of a major health care system, corporate directorships, and long experience in professional public speaking, master of ceremonies, voiceover narrations and presentations for business, professional and public groups; humorous emphasis (ambush humor--no one expects an accountant to be funny).

My Training

As a long-time member of the National Speakers Association and a professional speaker for corporate client groups around the country as an essential part of my own management consulting practice, a natural extension of that experience was attendance as a student participant in classes, workshops, seminars and continuing education activities specifically for the development of voiceover talents and voice acting. Worked with leading voiceover coaches and talents from around the country, and continue to do so in a continuum of learning and development in the voiceover profession.

My Studio Equipment

Various studio condenser microphones; USB condenser mics for appropriate auditions when travelling; Mackie studio monitors and Mackie interface equipment between mics and computers; sound isolation recording studio; access to ISDN studios.

Additional Skills

As a successful C.P.A. financial and business adviser, with a substantial background in the largest international accounting and consulting firms, speaking and voiceover skills and work have been a natural extension of that experience, since communication is the essence of any effective consulting service. My extensive financial and business background has been invaluable to voiceover clients, who seek to deliver a credible message to their audiences.
