Community Organizing
Founding member of Club Tlacolula, a fraternal organization for individuals and families from Oaxaca, Mexico, now residing in Racine, Wisconsin; organized several educational and social events in Racine promoting the culture of Oaxaca; founding member and currently president of FOMO (Federation of Oaxacans of the Midwest United States), an organization of Oaxacan leadership from three states that conducts both cultural and social improvement projects; led a special project delivering to Oaxaca a much needed fire truck that had been secured through the City of Chicago Fire Department. Worked on special educational and organizing initiatives in cooperation with the National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities.
