Voice Description
Dry baritone to double bass with the ability to add textures and warmth as needed for your various voice uses. Experience includes dubbing animation, live action film dubbing, looping, vocal foley, video games, commercials, audiobooks and live reading for the blind radio programs. Education includes original animation, in depth exposure to the international phonetic alphabet, masking the "sell," advanced techniques in reading the through lines in commercial copy, narrative style.
Celebrity impressions include, but aren't limited to, Sean Connery, Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Rhys-Davies, James Earl Jones and George Takei. Character impressions include Ed from Ed, Edd and Eddy, Ren and Stimpy, just about any character ever voiced by Don Messick or Daws Butler, including that crime-sleuthing dog and the smarter than the average bear, Darth Vader (who I've actually been twice in a parody spot and a fan film), Gimli from Lord of the Rings.
Currently recording on an AKG CS414, Digidesign MBox 2 with factory plugins on a top end hand-built Pentium IV 630 PC with Creative's XFI Platinum system as a backup input system and Sony's Sound Forge Studio 8 as the backup acquisition and editing system. I am broadband enabled on Comcast via Earthlink (or is it the other way around) and I am always willing to try a new technology that doesn't involve me picking up the long distance bills involved with ISDN. Sorry. Been there, done that.

My Voice Experience
Professional voiceover and live performer in the Houston area. My current steady recurring gigs include dubbing Japanese animation titles at ADV Films, FUNimation Productions in Fort Worth/Dallas and operating a live action virtual reality theatre near the Johnson Space Center. This follows years of performing on stage in community theatre productions and an second to none education in the school of life. I have been villains, heroes, narrators, the salesman (and the salesman who doesn't let you know I'm selling you something), the guy in the background who's supposed to be in the background and the guy who dies like nobody's business. If you want some of the deepest pipes in the industry that has more emotional range than a paint ball gun, you've found your man.
More importantly, you've found a man who has followed the sage advice that tells an actor to participate in life, rather than be stuck in "actorworld." Life is a great place, and I want to tell your listeners about it with a voice that will remind you of the Don LaFontaines and Nick Tates of the business, but with a voiceover rate that will remind you that you can do this on a budget.

Additional Skills
In addition to the acting education and experience I've brought to the table, I've also branched out into the areas of scriptwriting and production. With a proper translation in my hand, I can write an adaption of the dialogue in English that will avoid that lovely "Godzilla dubbing" look, in either animation or live action features. I have written frameworks of video game stories that emphasize integration with the elements of game play. And why not? On top of my professional life, I'm also a gamer. My life's experience in the fields of security, emergency medical response, law enforcement and service in the United States military means that you will never have to bring in additional subject matter experts for projects involving the pronunciation of medical terms, military and police training terms and that saves you money. My experience in reading live for the blind on the radio and in prerecorded segments gives me the edge in completing your audiobook projects in a timely manner and my range of deliveries gives you all the characters you need.
Additionally, my home recording studio is available to me 24/7. I have redundant connectivity using cable modem at home, and I'm ready on the road with a powerful Logitech USB microphone/headset that can get you audition reads on the go.
Also, if you've read this far, I should let you know that I will perform PSAs for charitable organizations and health awareness entities free of charge as long as no political sniping or hate-mongering is involved. Otherwise, look me up for your no-cost PSA talent.
