My Voice Experience
I am looking to break into this industry as I have no experience with performing voice-overs. I have been encouraged to pursue this work for many years now but I feel now is the right time as I am currently retired and have much more free time.
My Training
As stated above I have no experience doing voice-overs, but have been told by numerous industry professionals that this type of work would be great for my voice which has a very dynamic, deep and smooth quality perfect for narrations, and announcements.
My Studio Equipment
I have access to three studios, two of which are designed for voice-overs and Foley work. These studios have a wide-range of vocal/instrument microphones available including the Rode NTK/NT2000, Neuman TLM103, Microtech Gefell M300 pair, RE20/RE27 and pre-amps such as the Avalon VT-737SP, Earthworks Pre, Digi-Pre, Universal Audio Pre, and Digi-Design D32 control surface running Pro Tools 9 HD with a complete range of Digidesign and McDSP plug-ins.
Additional Skills
I have composing music for over 15 years using MIDI. Most of my music is cinematic in nature, but I also have composed music for games, animated films, and promotional videos. I love composing ambient music, useful for backgrounds.
When I was child a hobby of mine was to use a voice-memo tape recorder to act as a radio announcer for my own "radio shows" with music taped from the radio or my own.
I have always been a great reader. I love reading and I read everything I see. I can provide good, useable takes immediately.
