My voice is one which is very believable. I can be warm and affectionate as well as easy going and fun. I can also project a very serious and fatherly voice. Having done a number of presentations in my educational career, I can also provide a professional voice.

My Voice Experience

Although I began making voice tapes to exchange with family and friends over 40 years ago, I presently have no professional experience in the voiceover field. I have always been interested in audio and voices, but due to my full time work in the field of special education until I retired I never pursued the field of voiceover any further - until now. I am genuinely interested in learning more about the voiceover field and hope to become a part of it.

My Training

Although I hold four college degrees, none of them are in a field that relates to voiceover. Throughout my career as an administrator in the field of special education I presented to many many groups on a variety of subjects, and do feel that this experience helped me with my voice presentation skills.

My Studio Equipment

I currently use a computer program called Polderbits Sound Recorder, which allows me to save audio files in either .wav or .mp3 format.

Additional Skills

One of my greatest strengths is people skills. I can comfortably interact with people of all ages and all walks of life. One of the teachers who worked for me once referred to me as "the great communicator." For eleven years I also taught at the university graduate level.

Although I am 64 years "young", I continue to do things that require me to think and learn. Seeking work in the field of voiceover is one example of my continuing pursuit of knowledge.
