Voice Description

With no experience in this field, I'm hesitant make claims for myself about what I can do well. I value my credibility very highly and wouldn't sacrifice it to get an audition.

I've been told that my voice is soothing and my personal opinion (with no experience to judge, of course) is that it would be well suited for presentations and the like.

My interest currently is getting some experience in voice overs so that my abilities and skills can be accurately assessed.

Eventually, I would like to do voice overs for projects in which I delight and would add value to others' lives. Doing things that are meaningful would be especially nice, though I would be perfectly content with any project that I could personally support.

Because I value my credibility, I woudn't be interested in working on any project that I couldn't personally support or recommend. This may not be the place for this, but what I am saying is that my voice isn't for sale to the highest bidder.

I would never want to be ashamed of anything to which I would have ever given my voice.

My Voice Experience

I've had some choir and solo experience but no professional voice talent work but have always wanted to do so.

I've built, owned and operated a small business for 27 years and have been told I have a soothing voice.

I have a good vocabulary, and have always cared about enunciating well.

I'm looking forward to this opportunity.

Because of my lack of experience, I'm hesitant to make claims about what I can do and would like someone with experience to help me classify and categorize my strengths and abilities.

Other than choir, I've had no formal voice training, but have always been conscientious about how I speak and have been a good reader since I was a small child.

Additional Skills

I read, spell and pronounce well. I learned to read phonetically and after one job interview was told that no applicant had ever exceeded my spelling score. I think it's evident that a person who spells well would tend to speak well, provided, of course, that they don't have a speech impediment, which of course I don't.
