My Voice Experience

I started doing radio work in the 70s, and graduated with a double major B.A. in Journalism and Radio-Television. That led to many hours at an NPR station based at the university where I graduated. More recently, I've done local commercial work for several not-for-profits. I've recorded several narrations for online Flash presentations for the Active Living Resource Center and the National Park Service. I've also done podcasts for the National Center for Bicycling & Walking, and acted as host for a series of webinars for the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals.

Additional Skills

I have completed several projects where I contributed both the voice-over and the photography for online Flash projects. I use Photoshop and SWF-Pro for creating slide shows with voice-over that will run in most Internet browsers. I use on-line music libraries, but in some cases have also structured the necessary music loops from clips in Garage Band. I come from the business world (not-for-profits), and served for 20 years as the Executive Director of America's largest membership organization for recreational bicyclists, growing that organization from 5,000 to 35,000 members, and the annual budget from $300,000 to $2.5 million.
