My Voice Experience
I got into voiceover while working in a Boston ad agency as a writer. We had to make a demo for a client for a radio spot and I got the gig (unpaid). The engineer at SoundTrack and the creative director of the agency were impressed and encouraged me to seek more voiceover work. So I did.
Over the last ten years or so I have done radio and TV voiceovers for a number of national and local clients, including Sunday River, Serevent, Century Bank, Frugal Fannies, and others.
Most recently, I have done a series of national TV spots for Bessemer Trust and Eastern Bank.
My Training
To begin at the beginning: I am not a formally trained voice actor, I just play on TV. In college I worked as on-air comic talent and bored my ex-friends with imitation of Bill Cosby, George Carlin, Jonathan Winters, and Richard Pryor. While in graduate school at the University of Illinois, as a teacher at Bates College, and in Boston as an aspiring Bohemian I was involved in community theater as an actor and writer. My roles include Stomil in Tango by Slawomir Mrozek, Dr. Seward in Dracula, and Jesus in Hegemon, a play adapted by me from Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita.

Additional Skills
For the last twenty plus years my main job has been writing ad copy. Over the years I have written dozens of radio and two or three TV spots. I have even produced a few.
This may or may not be relevant, but I am a professional interpreter in Russian and Spanish. I am told I have a very good nearly accent.
