Voice Description
My strongest read is a conversational one. I don't give the impression of reading, but rather of the guy next door giving you his thoughts. I can also give you an edgy read for the 18-34 demo. I can also do character reads of any kind as well as some accents (U.K., German, Australian). I'm a budding voice actor who's looking for a chance to show you my stuff.

My Voice Experience
When I was 18, I had serious thoughts about getting into acting, but my girlfriend at the time warned me that there would be a good chance I'd be a 35 year old balding character actor/waiter living on tips and doing dinner theatre.
Not appealing.
Instead I went into radio because I knew that I'd be able to be creative and still collect a steady paycheck. The best part of my job isn't the radio show I do every day nor the music department that I run at a Classic Rock station, it's when our team of producers needs a spastic German to rave about the Octoberfest party at a local bar, or the guy that realizes his car air conditioning unit has broken on the hottest day of the year. At this point, my talents have only benefitted those local clients that have their spots done in house, and now I can benefit you.
My Training
My training was done more hands on in the studio rather than the classroom. I took a 2 year radio course at BCIT in Vancouver and landed a job right away doing a daily radio show and working in the production department of a rock station producing station imaging, high energy promos as well as client scripts. As far as my acting skills go, I was a theater performer in high school, winning a number of awards including best actor for the province of British Columbia at the BC Festival of the Arts. I also participated in a number of other productions after high school and into my mid 20's.

Additional Skills
I find that the additional skills that someone can bring to the table is related to what they've done in their lives.
I'm a husband, which has taught me...humility.
I'm a Dad, which gives me perspective on things. How many non-Dad's are out there that can say they've had someone pee on them? See? Perspective.
And I've stuck with the same career for nearly a decade now, moving up the ladder the entire way.
