Voice Description

My voice is mid-range, and because of this, I have a very wide range of vocal ability. I can get as high as Elmo from Sesame Street, as low as Isaac Hayes, and pretty much all in between.
I have a variety of styles, depending upon the recording. Straight forward and stiff for business-style presentations, or loose and natural for narration. My favorite styles are the "game show host" and the "radio personality" because of the flexibilty and overall fun they present.
English is my native language and I do not speak any others fluently. I do know some words in 10 different languages, but not enough to work in those dialects. I can, however, perform accents. Brittish, both traditional and cockney, Austrailian, Scottish, Irish, Russian, Japanese, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, Indian, and European. As American accents go, I can do southern, Brooklyn, California surfer, Hampton snob, and African-American.

My Voice Experience

I have not done any professional voice work, but I have done a lot of un-professional voice work. By that, I mean that I haven't done voices and gotten paid. I have done voices for family, friends, co-workers, and total strangers. But that was for attention and entertainment. I have been doing impressions and voices for 28 of my 32 years.

My Training

As far as training goes, I am self-taught. I have always had the natural gift for doing voices, and over the years have continued to learn what I can from where I can. I am a natural actor as well. I am going to be taking some courses to improve on my abilities over the next few years. No matter how good you are, you can always be better.

Additional Skills

I am able to pick up voices very easily and continue to work on them. I have two classifications of voices - Perfect and exaggerated. If I can't get an impression down perfectly, I will then set out to exaggerate it so people know who it is.
I do not just perform impressions. I have many original voices and can usually create a new one when needed. Between the impressions and original voices, I literally have more than 1000 voices at my disposal.
