My Voice Experience
Ten years experience in TV and Radio news for AFRTS (American Forces Radio and Television Service) at FEN (Far East Network), Tokyo. Also audio production and Drive Time DJ at FEN.
Scouted and recruited by Japanese production agencies during radio work for audio commercials, corporate logos, English voice overs for TV programs, documentaries, as well as cultural and industrial narration scripts for video footage. Left AFRTS in 1987 for various on-air news and radio host programs with organizations such as NHK Radio Japan, 81.3 J-Wave (FM Japan), NTV (Nihon TV), Asahi TV's JCTV, and Osaka Yusen's KTYO Radio.
Left the business in 1993 as the local economy starts its slide for other employment relating to education.
Currently a member of a TV broadcast automation system company in Japan, but would love to be service in the online voice market.
My Training
I enrolled in a correspondence announcing program known as "Columbia School of Broadcasting" as a teenager, but ran out of funds to continue through the final tests.
Graduated from Defense Information School, completing an intense Broadcast course at Indiana in 1978. This qualified me for my assignment with FEN in Tokyo, Japan
My Studio Equipment
None at present except for a personal dynamic microphone and recorder.
Additional Skills
I am 58 years old. I received my 3rd degree Shorinji Kempo black belt in January of 2011 after practicing this self-disciplinary art for eight years. I continue to learn self-control, living and working with a spirit of cooperation while accomplishing what is set forth, striving for fulfillment: half for myself, and half for others. I persevere, have no delusions of grandeur and follow directions well.
