My Voice Experience

Working in sales today, after spending most of a half century in radio, I spend some time almost every work day in the production studio. First came deejay work in college, followed by a stint as a radio News Director in the Gainesville market. I did quite a number of narrations for a small, local motion picture production company. Early in my career my work was sought by The University of Florida's Health Sciences Department for a TV program on a regular basis. Current work includes everything from car lots to Banks - including all kinds of retail business accounts. Virtually all production is from scripts I write specifically for the account.

My Training

Pursuit of a Broadcast Journalism degree was cut short by marriage, babies and bills - within 38 credit hours of graduation. I have an AA Degree from the University College at the University of Florida. I completed the Dale Carnegie Course, and a number of Sales workshops through the years.

My Studio Equipment

The company I work for provides a complete production library for licensed broadcast music and sound effects.
Recording is done with Cool Edit Pro. Studio microphones and mixers are meticulously maintained. Sound files are converted to mp3 for e-mailing. Longer projects will be provided on CD.

Additional Skills

As a former musician, my high school and college band experience served me well as an active-duty US Navy musician. I have an ear for the right music to fit the specific feel of a 30-second radio commercial, or a longer narrative about cryogenic corneal transplant tissue preservation or OSHA safety training films covering the dangers of exposed turning points.
