My Voice Experience
I have taken several voice-over classes at: The School for Film & Television (with Barbara Gilbert and Drew Birns), Voiceover Academy (with G. Keith Alexander), and most recently I took private lessons with Aria McKenna (New York Voiceover Success Program) and recorded my character demo under her guidance, which showcases my talents for possible animation projects.
In this demo I do my various accents and character impressions, such as Mae West, Katherine Hepburn, Received Pronunciation English (the Queen's English), London Cockney English, New York Jewish, Mafioso mobsters, Southern Belle, French, Spanish (a Charo impression), a typical accent from the South of India, Russian, a little girl, a baby crying, and I even put in a bit of my own voice as an exasperated mother.
I have appeared on cable TV many times singing and speaking, and also wrote many of my texts.
My Training
I'm a classically trained singer (soprano). I've performed on cable TV many times. I've taken several voiceover classes with: Aria McKenna (NY Voiceover Success Program), G. Keith Alexander (Voiceover Academy), The School for Film and Television.
I'm a licensed speech-language pathologist, see my web site: hanoverspeech. My specialties are in accent modification and voice therapy/vocal training. I have had trained many students in the sound system of Standard American English, as well as some other accents for acting roles. I have also taught English as a Second Language in colleges and in Paris, France.
