My Voice Experience
I have worked in a sound studio recording audio books for the deaf. These recordings were then delivered to the local community. The types of articles would be local interest stories extracted from the local newspapers. This started many years ago when I was employed by the local university. I worked in local radio as a presenter for a few years but this was purely as a hobby and work commitments meant giving this up.
My Training
I began a number of years ago as a kind of news reader for the hearing impaired, and this quickly lead to working in the sound studio 3 or 4 days a week. A friend then asked me to work on the local radio station behind the scenes. This then led to 'on air' conversations and eventually 'filling in'. In my career i have attended training seminars and being a confident outgoing type of person I have no problems addressing a public audience.
My Studio Equipment
I have a number of computer applications including Apple Mac that I use to record voice overs. I have the ability to edit and splice tracks, fade in out and manipulate sound levels to attain a finished piece.
Additional Skills
I have a fully functioning sound studio at home, all be it in a number of PC's but I have the technology to edit recordings and make some modifications to an original piece.
