I only have one voice over credit so far, but the experience was enough to make me immediately fall in love with the whole business. A director that I did a reading for called me in to do a voice over for a grant proposal he was putting together for his documentary on Augusta Evans, a fierce and inspiring Southern author from the Civil War era. Initially, I was scared to death of resurrecting the Southern accent I hadn't used in three or four years, and I was way too close to the microphone on my first take, but by the second take, I was completely at ease and focused on the thrill of acting solely with my voice. It was more than a little surreal to hear my voice on the finished trailer.
