Voice Description

Pleasant and inviting for children's storybooks. I can do a variety of character voices for animation and audio books. I can do funny voices, accents such as hard Jersey type of gal, Filipino mom, hard Jersey type of guy. I can do evil stepmother voices and spoiled little girl voices. For my current job, I do regular trainings and presentations for teachers so I am accustomed to speaking professionally to a large audience.

I can sing!

My Voice Experience

NIS - NOVA company in Japan in 1995 - I was the voice of a boy, "Tibah" the main character in an educational software video game for English Language Learners. Since 2002 and currently, my job as a Special Ed Teacher allows me to regularly read stories to 3 to 5 year olds. To capture the children's interest, I use a variety of voices to make the story characters "come to life." For the Winter Performance for the Early Intervention program that supports all of West Contra Costa County School District, I was the voice for the lead character in the play, "Mother Frost." She has a deep, authoritative yet welcoming voice as she guides the animals on their way to migration.

My Training

B.S. Special Education, ESL teacher for adults, English Language Learner support for children. Drama school in San Francisco in 1992. Improvisational Classes in Albany, Ca in 2003. For my current job, I provide circles at Head Start preschool classrooms. I sing and perform for the children while presenting a variety of language and readiness skills and concepts.
