About my voice:
I can mimic almost any noise, including voices, sound effects, and accents. Troll voice? Yes. Kidnapped princess, snatche by a pesky witch? I'll do both VOs, thanks very much. I love doing stand-up and sketches, so many of my voices come straight from work onstage. Just spontaneous voices.

I'm a singer, and because of this I can regulate vocal attributes such as pitch, texture, rhythm and tone. When performing voice-over, I can easily switch between a soft 'sotto voce' and a loud, shrill scream, with microphone technique and a bit of luck.

Producers notice my warm, "textured" voice and cast me for narrations and commercials, while animators tend to appreciate my wide tonal range for wacked-out cartoon characters.

The producers at Shut Up and Talk studio in NYC tell me that my voice is commonly referred to as "textured." It can be throaty and intimate if needed, or bubbly and silly girl-next-door.

I've been cast in Myspace Parental Advisory PSAs, as well as in Academy-Award nominated Bill Plympton animation pieces and Spanish-language cartoons. In July of 2009 I recorded web advertisements for Turbine Media's "Dungeons and Dragons" online games.

As for the funny side, I love doing voices for animals, aliens (think Loony Tunes from the 60s & 70s, Marvin the Martian and beyond), raspy old ladies, sweet British grand-mammas, and loud-mouthed, hot-headed Italian housewives, wielding rolling-pins. I do a great Gilda Radner impersonation and can mimic Jennifer Lopez to a tee.

I lived in Japan for 3 years, so if you have a script in romanized Japanese (it's in an English alphabet, rather than in kanji or kana) that you need read, I can do this quite easily. I've also lived in Ireland and in England, so I can do those accents fairly well.
