Voice Description
I'm an everyman with a rare case of energy...a little bit of Uncle Buck, a touch of John Goodman, and great Alec Baldwin intensity.
I'm a great guy-next-door, and can also deliver real authority...or make it funny...all from the confines of my ISDN-equipped studio.
My voice does make people smile...and listen. I've voiced virtually every imaginable kind of project, from national and regional spots, to station imaging, animation, trailers, video games, characters, and long-form narration.
So...if you're looking for THAT voice. The one that gives it to you straight, but can bend at will. The one that saves you on studio time. A polished tone, a hearty chuckle, or a rough-hewn edge...and always professional.
The one that makes people enjoy listening.
The voice and professional with dynamic charm, a warm tone, real character and a great read, a positive focus, truly natural sound, a confident presence, knowledgeable and understanding calm, absolutely friendly and genuine, an upbeat and fun disposition, a believable image, an approachable feeling, a convincing approach, Dad, authoritative and caring, strong and elegant, energetic, dramatic, and bold, positively sincere, playful and educated, inspiring and authentic, smooth, secure, and remarkably assured.
That's me...Evan Rapp is THAT voice.
Also...I've lived all over the country, and have no geographical dialect to my voice or voiceovers. However, at the drop of a hat I can reproduce New York Uptown or Downtown, Bostonese, a Midwestern Twang, or the North Woods of Minnesota.

My Voice Experience
Experience? Are you kidding me?!
I've voiced virtually every kind of project, and maintain such a dizzying string of talents and skills, that decorum prevents discussion within the confines of this forum.
I've been the voice for Medica Insurance, Turtle Wax, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Piggly Wiggly, eTrade, Hard Rock Hotels, Harley-Davidson, and many more...
Whether a straight read, the guy next door, hard as nails, a Mason Adams crackle, funny, edgy, or sweet, I've always got the music in me...
Here's another thing.
I can write. I can string sentences together. I can create such a symphonic assemblage of subjects and predicates, that...upon any encounter with their being...your coffee will run warm for weeks at a time.
So, I can write a little bit. If this touches you...if you see this as being of value...then, I am pleased.
It does help me to interpret copy, and provide a strong read.
I've been described as having a pleasing, everyman sort of voice, with the ability to deliver an exceptionally broad range of reads. I can take direction, or self-start. I do a mean Casey Kasem, Jackie Gleason, Michael Caine, and Marlon Brando. I've got a world-class home studio, can self-produce, and have quick access to great pro studios, as needed. I love working, and I think you'll find me to be a true professional, and a lot of fun.
My voice ranges from friendly, affable, and warm to edgy and modern. I can play it up, down, light, or dark...and I can do funny.

Additional Skills
I'm a great big actor with a happy streak. I like people and I like my work...as such, the experience is always terrific. I can do voices, animation, funny, happy, sad, serious, rugged, determined...I'm truly an all-purpose performer.
Think John Candy and John Goodman for a new generation...
Have performed in national, regional, and local spots of a tremendously broad range. I'm exceptionally easy to work with, a great contributor to the entire process, and always receptive to direction.
