Voice Description

My natural vocal style is youthful, crisp and sincere. I am able to deliver a wide variety of characters and emotions, ranging from authoritative and professional to goofy and cartoonish, and enjoy working with clients to develop a develop a vocal personality that suits their needs.

In day-to-day life, I speak English with a well-enunciated northwestern American accent. I am able to emulate numerous other English accents - stuffy British headmaster and Southern drawl are just a couple of examples.

My Voice Experience

For the past three years, I have worked as an audiobook reader for a Montreal company specializing in the production of documents for people with visual impairments. My projects have run the gamut from comedic prose and theatre to psychology textbooks and tax documents. As a result, I have developed a diverse repertoire of reading styles. I'm equally capable of conveying warmth, humour, credibility, sardonic wit... you name it!

I have also had the opportunity to hone my vocal skills (and projection!) by performing in various theatre and film productions, including works which have run in Vancouver's Fringe Theatre Festival and ReelFast 48 Hour Film Festival.

My Training

As an employee of Point-Par-Point, LLC, I have received training in professional audiobook reading technique and studio operation. I have also received voice training for both speaking and singing via my theatre work.
