After earning my B.A. (major Business Administration; concentration Economics) I've continued studying voice -- both singing and acting -- as well as guitar and real estate which have all helped with my voice over pursuit. The real estate course led to my licensing in the 1990s and showed me new, very creative, approaches to marketing in various media. Learning new techniques of writing, interpreting, and conveying copy for properties has undoubtedly helped while recording.

My first voice over client, Unlimited Post, has been my most rewarding. Justo Pinero gave me an optimally pleasant, professional, and informative introduction to voice over work. I've not only gotten great jobs through Unlimited Post (Showtime; Time Warner; Palacin Dental; Metropovia/Metropolitan Hospital of Miami and Cinemojado), but I unexpectedly stumbled into a good bit of copywritig work through that initial association. It began when I offered to modify copy for a client and soon more referrals came.
While I prefer receiving copy and having the client or engineer edit (what V.O. talent doesn't) I'm usually happy to throw in a free editorial suggestion or two if I feel the client is receptive to the input or the proposed copy is substantially flawed. Of course I have had jobs that entailed substantial copywriting in addition to providing a voice over and was compensated accordingly.
