My Voice Experience
Well I haven't done much in the way of simply voice acting but I have done much acting and voice-overs. I've been in plays in high school where I had to have my voice trained for the specifics accents and dialects of the character I played. I was also a video production major throughout high school and I acted out and narrated and voiced over several of the projects we'd created. I've acted and played out several different roles that ranged from being a high school nerd trying to make it big or a deep booming voiced jock trying to motivate someone as well as the mournful tone of narrating a piece on the recently deceased and the jolly go-lucky voice of a child at christmas or a cross dressing cheerleader or the inquisitive voice of an early morning news caster. I've done them all and I love to get into character and wear costumes to make whatever character I portray a very real part of me.
My Training
In school I played in a few plays that called for me to train my voice to match the tone and dialect of that particular character. I also was in a video production class and through all of my narrations and acting I had to train myself to learn more dialects and more accents and different tones to match the characters or the settings in which I projected my voice. I also took courses in Spanish and French where I was required to adept to the dialect and the accents of foreign languages. I may only be an amateur now but voice acting is something I really wish to pursue. My dream would be to do character voice acting for cartoons and animated shows.

Additional Skills
My overall professional experience as of now may be limited but i'm always open and willing to learn. Constructive criticism is the best way for me to learn. Sometimes I just sit and record myself speaking and do it over and over again until i've mastered a new voice personality for myself. I've worked primarily jobs related to retail and security where i've been surprised how a particular tone of voice actually helps. A soft helpful tone could help push a sale if you work retail and sometimes as a security guard a loud stern voice is all you need to enforce the law.
