My Voice Experience

I am currently a PhD student in archaeology in Chicago and so my voice over acting experience has been rather limited. I have frequently provided voice over talent for my husband who works in computer animation as well as for several children's book narrations at elementary schools that have been unpaid. However, for many years people have told me that my voice is perfect for radio and commercials and that I should make it into a career if archaeology isn't paying all of the bills. I have recently decided to try my hand at making some side money in voice acting as a graduate student's salary is not particularly generous. I have also spent many years as a competitive opera and classical singer and have performed at various events for hire including weddings, funerals, charity events, etc. and so I am also able to provide some musical background to my professional work.

My Training

I have been involved in the performing arts for 12 years including acting and singing. While my bachelor's degree is in Anthropology, I have always been involved in acting through college theater and musicals including "Oklahoma," "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," and "Beautiful Bodies" a play by Laura Shaine Cunningham among other. I have also performed in concert Mozart's "Requiem," Handel's "Messiah," and many others.

My Studio Equipment

I use Cakewalk Music Creator software to record and edit my voice overs as well as to add effects. Additionally I have a Samson CO1U Studio Mic for professional quality sound.
