My Voice Experience

I work for radio, so I first started doing five second spots and promos. As I got more confortable with the mic, I learned to use the different layers of my voice to then be able to act out a commercial. Since we have markets of our radio station from California to Oklahoma and more, my commercials go all over. Outside radio, My voice has been used mostly in California for TV commercials for VTA (the public transportation company)and FLEX YOUR POWER (a community service company that encourages people to save energy) Also for Amusement parks in California for the HD RADIO Company, personal business presentations and I even did a TV commercial for a calling card in Telemundo.

My Training

I went to Community College, but I have aquired my voice over, production and translating abilities through the experience I gained in the different jobs I've had. I used to be an ESL teacher,that's how I trained to translate and transcreate. I am a Translator and a Transcreator(sometimes commercials don't make sense in Spanish as they do in English so I find a similar way of re-creating the spot without loosing its purpose)I work in the creative/production department so I often create commercials from scratch. I am also in my way to become an all-out producer. I can record, edit and produce commercials though everyday I learn something new.

I have complete studios with access to Sound Forge, Vegas, and music from Megatrax, Megasonics and others.

Additional Skills

I am an artistic person at heart. I work best when creating something weather it be a commercial, a script, or a poster. I am a music lover. I danced and choreographed for a while. I have worked in sales, promotions,as an English teacher for adults for 3 years. that's where I aquires most of my abilities to translate on the spot. I have done one TV commercial and I am in the works for more. It was an awesome experience, I was comfortable in front of the camera as I am in front of the mic. It is super easy for me to visualize a spot, How it will sound, the voices, the sound effects it should have etc. Overall, creativity is my strongest asset to be able to do everything else.
