My Voice Experience
I started doing voiceovers for commercials out of neccessity. I was doing cable television production and it was just faster to go ahead and do it myself direct to tape rather than wait on someone else. The clients seemed to like my voice and often would request it for their other advertising as well. It has always been a blessing for me to be able to provide everything for a client if neccessary- from the copywriting to the final posting I have had experience in every phase. I have had perfect strangers who have only heard my voice describe it as very professional, easy to understand, and respond to.
My Training
I have a degree in communications with a minor in broadcasting and have worked in television production since 1983. I have done community theatre since I was 12 and learned early on how to project and use inflection to relay emotion. In the early 90's I learned how to record and edit on reel to reel and had my first introduction to non-linear with the Videotek toaster. In the late 90's I became the production manager for an ABC affiliate and started writing and producing my own voiceovers on the Media 100.I moved to North GA in 2001 and I learned to record audio and edit with "Sound forge" software and video editing using Adobe Premiere. I am now producing video and web presentations for Fortune 500 companies throughout the Southeast primarily writing and recording long form narration.
My Studio Equipment
I have access to a radio station recording studio with Sound forge editing and can convert it to either MP3 or Windows media for email purposes. I can also burn to CD or DVD for hard copies as well.
Additional Skills
I have a very quick turnaround time (usually within 24 hours if needed) and have always maintained a good repoire with clients both large (Fortune 500 companies) and small (Downtown merchant associations). I have the abililty to "humanize" a narration and make it sound like I am talking to a good friend. Clients like using my voice because it gets customers to respond to the message they are sending.
