My Voice Experience

I have been a dj both in clubs and on a Cruise ship. Below is a list of places where I have worked before. I started working in night clubs when I was 19 and untill recently was still in clubs.

1999 - 2001 Hitman Music Productions Abbotsford, BCDisc Jockey · Mixed various selections of music, ranging from 60’s to today’s music.· In charge of making play lists, and ensuring music was up to date.· Assisted in set-up and take-down of sound equipment, also assisted with sound check.· Took requests, and ensured they were played promptly.
1998-1999 Carnival Cruise Line Miami, Ship’s Disc Jockey· Played music for both wedding receptions and birthday parties. · Took and played requests in a timely manner.· In charge of playing music, lighting, and video for ship’s nightclub.· Assisted Cruise staff as needed.

My Training

There ws no direct training for my voice as I was told in a drama class in high school that I should do this kind of thing. It was in drama class where I learned how to project my voice.

Additional Skills

I have had to introduce many acts to people from an area off stage so that all that could be heard was my voice. I also have volunteered as a bingo caller at a Legion in Kelowna.
